It is such an honor to represent other patients and patient advocates at the 61st Annual American Society of Hematology (ASH) meeting. This is my first time to ASH. I am excited about the opportunity to be among the approximately 30,000 others at this conference. I’m sure my head will be spinning with all the information!
The focus of my blog will be sharing this experience with you, from the first-timer’s point of view. Being a support group leader, I feel a responsibility to be a knowledgeable and informed leader to my group and other myeloma patients. I plan to write about what I learn each day that really excites me. I will be surrounded by a team of other patient advocates who are so much more experienced than myself. I know they will help me navigate this amazing conference.I am so grateful to the International Myeloma Foundation for including me.
